Dvorak's. Although, I'm probably sort of biased because I used to watch (and enjoy) his show on TechTV when I had the channel at home. I think he expresses his ideas in a "no hold's barred" sort of way. I liked his example reasons for why people create blogs; I know a few people with blogs who fit into just about everyone of those categories.
Manjoo's article didn't have a lot of original ideas. He quoted people left and right and had like (what a teenager thing to say) a hundred links to other people's sites. Although the links helped somewhat, it seemed like he spent more time looking up the links and quotes than he did putting thought into the article.
As for Chris Alden's article, I didn't really think he had a point, he seemed to just be rambling on transitioning from one topic to another. He had some good information, such as the information about this site (Blogger). Also, if I were going to show someone the Internet for the first time, I probably wouldn't show them a weblog first, but maybe that's just me.

It seems as if I forgot to publish this before, so sorry if you were trying to find it and couldn't (whoever you are/is)...

Megnut had some good views on weblogging, although I didn't agree with all of them. I liked the links and the information.

I liked Shauna's blog because it's in complete sentences and is very easy to read and understand. She gets her feelings out there and doesn't hold back, it seems.
I enjoyed Chris's thoughts from his blog. He also writes clearly and makes the information he's writing down easy to understand. Also, I agree with him about sentence structure.
Randy has some good ideas in his blog and he isn't afraid to express them. His wording is usually simple and easy to understand, from what I've read.
I liked Amber's views. She didn't like some of the articles and she wasn't afraid to say it. She doesn't hold back when she has an opinion and I like that.
Kayla expressed some good ideas/views about public education. She says what she likes and what she doesn't like on most every topic. The only drawback was that the print was hard to read on my computer (I have a high resolution on my monitor, so everything is small).

There are many things wrong with public education, but many of them just simply can't be fixed. One thing that can be fixed are the required classes. In most schools, computer education classes are offered, but not required. In today's working world, a person just can't get by without knowing how to use a computer, so I think a basic computer class should be required at the high school level in every school. Also, many schools do not have good computer equipment and the state and federal government should do their best to help get good equipment for those schools.

High school should do a better job of preparing students for college. The material covered and the way it is covered in high school is not very much like college. The material in high school senior classes is much easier than that of college classes and the emphasis in the classes is on homework, where as in college it's almost completely on tests.

Long lectures in class, especially ones that last the entire class period do not work in schools today. Students attention spans are almost constantly decreasing and a long lecture just doesn't keep their attention and so they learn nothing, or almost nothing. If a teacher is going to lecture, either break it up into several sections or make it fun to keep students interested. Tie in something that students know, such as movies or music.

My best teachers in high school were the teacher's that made their class fun, but still managed to get some learning in. Showing up to his/her class everyday didn't seem like a chore, more like an adventure. These teachers didn't press for everyone to get their homework done right away, instead they just wanted to make sure you learned the material.

I chose to pursue a further education because I wanted a degree, so I could get a better job in whatever field I chose to go into and so I could get paid more at that job. Not to mention, college life is an excellent experience that I didn't want to miss.

Thursday:
Rebecca Blood's article was interesting with the history of weblogging all laid out. I loved Melvin Levinson's description of school. His propositions were very interesting. They were both great examples of weblogs to learn about and give me ideas for my blog.
This is my third day of classes, so I've had all of my classes once. They seem fine with nothing too hard, although most of the first days were just intro days that introduced the class and the teacher.

Intro:
My name is Evan and I am a student at NDSU.
